How do I become a member of the Fort State University Alumni Association?
If you are a graduate of the University, or a FHSU faculty/staff member, you are automatically a member of the FHSU Alumni Association. If you would like to move up to a Silver, Gold, Diamond, or Platinum membership tier, you would need to submit the designated fee to step into a new tier of membership.

What does it cost to join?

How do you define alumni?
All graduates of the Fort Hays State University who have completed official degree requirements are automatically members of the FHSU Alumni Association.

Who is a paid member of the FHSU Alumni Association?
Members are individuals, graduates or otherwise, who have purchased a membership from the FHSU Alumni Association. Whether you're a FHSU parent, spouse, neighbor or Tiger fan, anyone in Western Kansas or around the world is welcome to officially become a Silver, Gold, Diamond, or Platinum member.

If FHSU alumni membership is free, why should I become a Silver, Gold, Diamond or Platinum member?
FHSU alumni and friends may choose to join the Alumni Association at the Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Platinum levels to show their support in connecting alumni and friends to each other and the University. Becoming a paid member of the Association is the best and most direct avenue to stay connected with the Fort Hays State University community. As a member, you also receive additional benefits and recognition.

Who is eligible to join the FHSUAA? I didn't graduate from FHSU—can I join the FHSUAA?
Anyone is eligible to join the FHSU Alumni Association as a paid member. While the largest portion of our members are FHSU alumni, if you're interested in supporting the University and taking advantage of our unique membership benefits, you're welcome to join as a paid member no matter your background.

What if I am already a FHSU Alumni Association life member – what will I be considered in the new program?
As a current life member, you will automatically be grandfathered into the Gold membership tier no matter what you paid for your membership. In doing so, you qualify for an automatic $350 credit voucher, the current Gold membership fee, which can be used to step up to a Diamond or a Platinum tier should you desire to elevate your membership.

How do I renew my Silver (annual) membership?
Membership renewals will be sent to you annually prior to your anniversary date or you will be able to renew your membership online. If desired, a membership brochure can be sent to you by calling the FHSU Alumni Office at (785) 628-4430 or toll free at (888) 351-3591.

How do I find out my membership status?

I am a member, but my spouse has never attended FHSU. Can she/he join anyway?
We welcome anyone who expresses an interest in Fort Hays State University. While the majority of our membership consists of FHSU alumni, we have several members who have “adopted” FHSU and support it as their own.

How does the Alumni Association use my annual Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Platinum membership fees?
Paid membership fees financially support the actual work of the FHSU Alumni Association — creating and delivering valuable services to alumni and students, staging events that foster connections within the Tiger family, generating communications to keep alumni informed, etc. In this way, paid alumni memberships literally allow the organization to carry out its mission.

Can I make a donation to the FHSU Alumni Association?
At any time the Association accepts tax-deductible contributions to better serve the Tiger community.

What is the Tiger Online Alumni Directory?
The Tiger Online Alumni Directory is open to members, paid or otherwise, of the Fort Hays State University family. It requires a login so that you can get specific information pertaining to your memberships. It is a place where you can find old classmates and professors and update your contact information. You control how much or how little of your information is shared with the Tiger community.

How do I locate a lost classmate?
Search for a lost classmate using the Tiger Online Alumni Directory at http://goforthaysstate.com/tigerdirectory. 

If unable to locate them, please contact the Alumni Association. While confidentiality regulations prohibit us from sharing alumni information directly with you, providing that current information is on our database, we may contact the alumnus in question to obtain their permission to release such contact information and/or suggest that he/she communicates with you directly.
