The Fort Hays State University Alumni Association in conjunction with Fort Hays State University developed the Legislative support network in 1998 to build legislative support for higher education.

The network is composed of alumni, students and friends of FHSU who volunteer their time to serve as advocates for FHSU. Our mission as an advocacy network is to build relationships with state decision-makers in order to develop greater appreciation and support for FHSU.

Members of the legislative support network are educated on issues facing higher education in Kansas and trained to contact legislators and organizations on behalf of the FHSU Alumni Association and the university.
