The Half Century Club was established on October 18, 1969, as a way of telling graduates, “You are important to us. You are part of our past, and you play an important role in our present and future.” Now over 40 years later, the club has grown to include more than 1,600 living members.
No alumni group better personifies the history and legacy of the university than the Half Century Club. The addition of new members annually reaffirms the heritage of excellence. Graduates of the 50-year class are inducted formally during the Homecoming meeting, and FHSU faculty become members upon retirement. New members receive the Half Century Club pin, which symbolizes our lineage from the past and our foundation for the future. |
