Tiger Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament ***SOLD OUT***
8 a.m. Registration; 9:30 a.m., Shotgun Start
Smoky Hill Country Club, 3303 N. Hall

Reservations accepted on a first-come, first-served paid basis. Divisions: women, men, senior and mixed teams. Lunch provided. Tournament proceeds will be used to fund FHSU scholarships for deserving students. Silent auction available. Advanced registration and payment required.

Join fellow Tiger alumni and friends for appetizers and drinks at an after-hours social hosted by the Post Rock Alumni & Friends Chapter. Afterward, plan to join the group at the Tiger Bonfire just outside the building.

Tiger Bonfire & Pep Rally ***LOCATION CHANGE***
7:30 p.m., Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center
Unfortunately the Tiger Bonfire, scheduled to begin tonight at 7:30 p.m., has been cancelled due to weather. HOWEVER, we hope that you will still join us tonight for the Tiger Pep Rally at 7:30 p.m. at the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center in Sheridan Hall. Hosted by Gerard Wellbrock, Voice of the Tigers, the pep rally will feature appearances by the Tiger Marching Band, Tiger Debs, Victor E Tiger, Tiger Cheerleaders, head football coach Chris Brown, the 2014 Homecoming Royalty Finalists, the 2014 Alumni Awards recipients, and Dr. Mirta Martin.

The Victor E March will still begin at 7 p.m. at Stadium Place. Pick up points will remain the same, with the exception of Hammond Hall, which will be eliminated as a stop. Homecoming Registration

Alumni and friends will want to check in at registration, pick up pre-paid tickets, and view reunion biographical sketches and copies of the Reveille while enjoying free refreshments. It’s a great place to meet and visit with other Tigers.

Campus Tour
10 a.m./2 p.m., Memorial Union
See new sights at a leisurely pace and hear about the latest “happenings” from a current FHSU student’s perspective.

Special Guided Gymnastics Reunion Athletic Facilities Tour --NEW--
10 a.m., Gross Memorial Coliseum
Gymnastics team members and friends are invited to take a guided tour of Gross Memorial Coliseum and the brand new Schmidt-Bickle Indoor Training Facility.

Half Century Club Luncheon & Induction
11 a.m., Social; 12 p.m., Luncheon, Memorial Union
Celebrate with this special group of FHSU alumni who graduated more than 50 years ago and retired FHSU faculty/staff. Arrive early to share your memories before the Class of 1964 induction into the HCC. Group photos will be taken of the honored 50 and 60 year classes following the program and will be available for purchase.

Oktoberfest has become a tradition that people of all ages look forward to and enjoy. It is a community tribute to the Volga-German heritage where delicious foods, lively entertainment, games, crafts, and unique items for sale make it an event you won’t want to miss. This year’s Alumni Achievement Award recipients are Susan (Trout) Armstrong ’71, Dorothy (Gross) Knoll ’68, '76, Jeffrey Peier ’80, '80 and Gene Schmidt ’61, '62. Honored with the Young Alumni Award is Justin McClure ’00. This year’s Distinguished Service Award recipient is Mike Karl ’72, '74 and the Nita M. Landrum Award recipient is Patricia (Rhoades) Baconrind ’93. Whether you are a past award recipient or know one of the honorees, plan to join us as we recognize the achievements of these individuals.

Hammond Hall and Dole Sisters Lobby Dedications --UPDATED--

Two the brightest stars in the Kansas firmament over the past several decades, Ed Hammond and Bob Dole, will converge for a double-dedication at the recently opened Center for Networked Learning. The event will begin with a dedication of the Dole Sisters Lobby. The new building houses the Department of Informatics, the Virtual College and the Center for Teaching Excellence and Learning Technology.
