1950’s
Warren R Conner ’51, WaKeeney, died May 19, 2010.
William D. McDougall ’56, ’57, Pasadena, Calif. passed away February 12, 2010.
Robert Schmidt ’50, Hays, and his wife, Patricia, graciously donated one million dollars to FHSU for the purpose of the creation of an indoor athletic training facility.
John Thorns ’50, Hays, participated in the 41st annual Smokey Hill Art Competition and Exhibition with his "Eventide at Cheyenne Bottoms" mixed collage pieces as well as had some of his artwork featured at the Deines Cultural Center in Russell.

1960’s
Joe Cullen ’65, ’72, Cheyenne, Okla., retired from Corrections Corporation of America as an academic instructor.
Keith E. Gumm ’62, Terry, Mont., died April 17, 2010.
Kathleen Kuchar ’66, Hays, participated in the 41st annual Smoky Hill Art Competition and Exhibition with her acrylic paintings "Serenity," "Vitality," and her acrylic collage, "Talking Chairs."
Judy K. (Leiker) Laux ’67, Huntley, Ill., died August 16, 2008.

1970’s
James Gillen ’74, ’76, Centennial, Colo., head athletic trainer for the Denver Nuggets, was inducted into the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers' Association Hall of Fame.
Peggy (Richard) Golden ’77, ’92, retired after 32 years from the Oakley Public School System.
Mabel C. (Stryker) Holmes ’71, Lakeland, Fla., passed away April 22, 2010.
Suzan Marie (Hooper) Kern ’76, Wichita, died May 28, 2010.

1980’s
Brett Akagi ’88, Maple Grove, Minn., was named assistant news director at KSHB-TV Action News in Kansas City.
Shannon Scott Bain ’83, Rolla, Mo., passed away November 28, 2009.
Dru Archie Hughes ’85, Phoenix, Ariz., died May 23, 2010.
Joe Tomelleri ’80, ’84, Leawood, and Mark Eberle have been contracted to write an expanded revision of the "Fishes of the Central United States."

1990’s
Tara (Luck) Garcia ’95, Hays, was recognized as a Hays Area Young Professional, a branch of the Hays Chamber of Commerce.
Lara Hensley ’91, Fairbanks, Alaska, accepted a position as an assistant professor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Mike Berry and Kimberly Heston ’97, Ozawkie, are the new parents of a girl, Michaela, March 24, 2010.
Charles Cox and Tara Look ’99, were married October 31, 2009.

Renee (Rodger) Braun ’03, Victoria, became Corporate Services Legal Assistant at Sunflower Electric Power Corporation in Hays.
Jordan Bollig and Rebecca Rogers ’06, were married October 17, 2009.
Sarah Brown ’07, ’07, Hays, and her sister, Jen, plan to participate in a marathon in Greece commemorating the 2,500th anniversary of the first marathon.
Christopher Leeson ’03 and Kimberly Campbell ’02, were united in marriage on October 11, 2009.
Bryan ’07 and Melissa ’05 (Beyer) Schoepf, Sylvan Grove, welcomed a girl, Brynn Marie, on April 28, 2010.
Jed ’01 and Arielle (Schamberger) Simpson, Hays, gave birth to a girl, Piper Layne, on April 19, 2010.
