1960’s

Randy Bane ’69, ’74, Rolla, was chosen for induction into the Kansas State High School Activities Association's Hall of Fame.
Bette (Milleson) James ’65, ’71, Hoxie, was appointed by Kansas Gov. Mark Parkinson to the Northwest Kansas Regional Library System.
Carol Lipp Strauss ’65, Newport Beach, Calif., retired after teaching high school Photography, Newspaper, Yearbook, and English for 40 years at Los Amigos High School in Fountain Valley.

1970’s
Rebecca (Miles) Lewis ’70, Madison, Ala., retired from the U.S. Army after 30 years of civilian service. She was part of the Program Executive Office of Missiles and Space.
Ernest “Bill” Ohman ’71, Augusta, has retired from Raytheon Aircraft where he was the manager.

1980’s
Katrina Hess ’89, Hays, opened a new water purification business, Lindyspring Water Systems.
Dawne (Evins) Leiker ’82, ’09, Hays, has joined the staff of The Hays Daily News as a reporter.
Kevin Riemann ’85, Topeka, is the Associate Executive Director for Kansas National Education Association.
Jodi (Dannels) Schmidt ’83, Hays, was elected Chair of the Hospital's and Community Health Systems Constituency Group and serves as a Trustee on the National Rural Health Association.
Michael Dick ’88 and Laura Meyer Maschler were united in marriage on April 26, 2008.

1990’s
Karen (Lee) Aten ’95, ’05, Hays, attained progressive care certified nurse certification after successfully completing the national exam.
Virginia (Savage) Beesley ’99, Quinter, has been appointed by Kansas Gov. Mark Parkinson to the Northwast Kansas Regional Library System.
David ’97 and Nanette (Opat) Fitzhugh, Hays, welcomed a daughter, Grace Ann, on Dec. 7, 2009.
John and Lisa ’93 (Haas) Flynn, Hays, are the parents of a girl, Ava Marie Skye, born on Oct. 19, 2009.
Lisa (Powell) Gehring ’92, ’99, Damar, was honored as the Area V Middle School Principal of the Year by the Kansas Association of Secondary School Principals.
Mark and Kendra ’99 (Pruter) Johnson, Hays, welcomed their third child, Sylvia Claire, on Dec. 28, 2009.
Michael Mages ’95, Ames, Iowa, is the program director at Mary Greeley Medical Center's Acute Rehabilitation Center.
Thomas Decker and Emily McDonald ’99, were married on Oct. 10, 2009.
Brad Schinstock ’92, ’97, McAllen, Texas, works for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
Christine “Chris” (Pfannenstiel) Schumacher ’91, ’98, Hays, received the Kansas Healthcare Education Council Achievement Award at the Kansas Hospital Association Conference on November 13, 2009, in Wichita.
Marlana (Kendall) Shellito ’96, Rawlins, Wyo., was hired as the 7th Grade Language Arts Teacher for Carbon County School District 1.

2000’s
Jared Glenn and Teri Befort ’03, were joined in marriage on Apr. 26, 2008.
Daniel Haas and Lacie Bittel ’09, were married on Oct. 17, 2009.
Christie (Patterson) Brungardt ’01, Hays, has successfully defended her doctoral dissertation on December 2, 2009.
Jessica “Crane” Conner ’06, Lawrence, was named Education Program Coordinator for the Lawrence Arts Center.
Kaci Davignon ’08, Wright, has is employed as a Housing & Neighborhood Revitalization Coordinator for the Ford County Development Corporation.
Luke ’08 and Lacey ’05 (Fisher) Dreiling, Hays, are the parents of a boy, Nash Robert, born Oct. 13, 2009.
Kyle Flax ’09 and Jessica Faulkner were married on Jan. 3, 2009.
Chelsey Fisher ’08, Dodge City, began work as the Special Projects Coordinator for Dodge City Ford County Development Corporation.
James ’05 and Jamie ’05 (Hickel) Geist, Overland Park, welcomed a boy, Colton Jamieson, on Oct. 14, 2009.
Daniel Hart ’04 and Angie Herold ’03, exchanged nuptials on Apr.19, 2008.
Jason “Jake” Mense ’02, ’05, Kansas City, Mo., was promoted to Associate Director of Operations for the University of Phoenix.
Eric Norris ’04, Hays, has been appointed to the 2010 Board of Directors for the Hays Area Chamber of Commerce.
Carson Norton ’07, ’08, Hays, received the FHSU Graduate School Best M.A. Thesis Award for his thesis entitled General George Crook and General Nelson A. Miles: Their Careers as Indian Fighters and Allied Adversaries.
Andrea Ring ’02, ’05, Salina, is the assistant professor of psychology at Bethany College in Lindsborg.
Kyle Gasper ’07 and Trista Stramel ’08, were united in marriage on Sept. 5, 2009.
